The Really Wild Show – FAQ’s

With our annual Family Fun Day event just a few weeks away, Taking place in Caldicot Town Centre on Friday August 16th. Our volunteers have put together a handy FAQ for our visitors to The Really Wild Show

Entry Fees

The event is free to enter and is open to the general public, both from within Monmouthshire and anyone else who would like to visit.

As the event is free, Caldicot Town Team will be collecting donations in buckets throughout the day, so please do be generous if you make a donation. All of our donations help us to run a number of events and projects within Caldicot. Caldicot Town Team is not funded by the Council or local government and all of our team are volunteers.

Free Entry? How Are Event Costs Covered?

Caldicot Town Team is a not for profit volunteer run community group. As we are not for profit, all income generated is reinvested into our events and projects throughout the year. This means that we can offer free entry to everyone at The Really Wild Show. Our team members will be around the event with donation buckets to help cover the costs of running this event.

Opening Times

The event is open for one day only, on Friday August 16th from 10am – 4pm.

Parking Information

Parking is free in Jubilee Way Car Park and Woodstock Way car park, which are run by Monmouthshire County Council.

There are charges and time limitations on Aldi car park, which is managed by Euro Car Parks

There is a time limit in Asda Car Park.

Caldicot Town Team take no liability for any charges/fines or other costs incurred for any parking violations howsoever caused.

Directions to The Really Wild Show

Exit at J23 at Magor, following signs for Caldicot along the B4245, past the co-op (on your right)

(for jubilee way car park) – Turn left at the main traffic lights towards town centre – car park on your right after passing petrol station and church.

(for Woodstock way car park – Turn left at 2nd set of main traffic lights, Woodstock way car park about 250 yards on your right.

Trains – Exit at Caldicot Halt, walk up station road to traffic lights, cross straight over and follow road to town centre (Past The Measure Pub)

Buses – Exit at Caldicot Cross. Normal bus route servicing – 74, X74, X14.

Can I bring my Dog?

While we love and would normally allow dogs to our events, we do ask that you don’t bring your pooches to this one, there are dozens of animals and we don’t wish to spook them or your beloved pet.

Taking Photos and Videos

Whilst photos and videos are allowed, we do ask you are respectful and listen to the animal handlers so animals are not spooked or distressed by photos.

Caldicot Town Team will have a designated photographer during the day, where all photos and videos will be uploaded after the event to the Caldicot Town Team Website, there will be an option to purchase individual photos.

If you do not wish to be included in any photos, please do let our event photographer know, however due to the public nature of the event we cannot guarantee that you will not appear in some shots taken.
